No! If you have a prescription from another doctor or just want to look at our selection, our opticians are able to help you at any time during business hours without an appointment.

Does the retinal screening have any side effects? 

None, in fact. in most cases, retinal screening can replace dilation during an eye exam which can cause blurred vision for several hours.

What is the importance of the retinal scan?

many eye diseases can cause partial vision loss or blindness. Diseases such as Macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal holes and detachments can be detected with retinal photography. Systemic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and tumors can also be detected.

Yes, the retinal screening is a required part of every  eye exam. The scan can help the doctor detect diseases and future health problems.
